hello beauty fanatics, it's been a while! On this lazy saturday afternoon, I've deicded to share with you one of my secrets to glowing skin as well as getting my dry/dehydrated skin back to hydrated, without using any skincare products! What i'm talking about, is something called omega 3.

Omega-3 fatty acids are known to be anti-inflammatory, high levels of omega-3 fatty acids have been shown to decrease inflammation, and may reduce the risk of acne and other skin problems by decreasing insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1). Omega-3 fatty acids have also been demonstrated to inhibit inflammation in the skin caused by UV radiation, and may even reduce the risk of skin cancer.

These fatty acids are responsible for the health of the cell membrane, which is what influences the cells ability to hold water, having a nice, healthy barrier yields moister, softer, more subtle, and more wrinkle-free skin.

Omega 3 can be found in cold water fatty fish such as sardines, salmon, mackerel, tuna, anchovies, and black cod, among many others. While there are many types of fisl oil capsules out there, I need to emphasize the differences between them and what you actually need to take to get healthy and glowing skin. as well as hydrating your skin.

There are three types of omega-3 fatty acids:-linolenic acid (ALA) (found in plant oils), eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). What you need for healthy and glowing skin is really EPA and DHA. This is what you need to look for in your Omega 3 pills when you are at the health store.

The amount of EPA and DHA in each capsule is also crucial and will tell you how many pills you need to take per day. I will share with you how much I'm taking, but I'm in no way telling you what you should be taking, you should only use this as a guideline and consult your doctor or follow the instructions on the bottle.

My omega 3 capsules are from Costco, they are the Kirkland brand Super Concentrate Omega 3 softgels. Each capsule contains 420 mg EPA, 280mg DHA, and fish oil 1200mg (from anchovy, sardine, and/or macarel). The softgels are quite big, at the beginning I didn't know if i can even swallow them! But of course, it's much easier to swallow than i thought. To tell you the truth, I started taking omega 3 pills not because of skincare, I had dry eyes and my optometrist told me to take omega 3 pills to help keep my eyes moist. After a few days of taking the pills I realized that my skin was glowing and very smooth, even my dehydrated areas of my face was gone! I did some research to find out how good omega 3 is for our skin!

I take 2 pills a day, once after breakfast and once after dinner. The results are almost instant, as in after a few days I saw a major difference in my skin. If i stopped taking it for a few days I can feel the difference as well. This is like my mini addiction now, I cannot live without it. I highly recommend you to take a look and do some research on it and decide if you want to give it a try!
