Hello beauty fanatics, today I'm going to review a bb cream I'm currently using: the Christian Dior DiorSkin Nude BB Creme.
About 2 years ago, I used to use a bb cream (Cyber Colors brand) under the Dior AirFlash Foundation. Ever since my skin improved to a level where I don't need to wear foundation anymore, I began looking into bb creams and a lighter textured one. My friend told me about the DiorSkin Nude BB Creme so I decided to give it a try.
I use the 002 shade (Fair). The bb cream claims to acheive the following results:
corrects transparently
lights the skin up with a fresh glow
gently hydrates
instantly smooths
protects, day after day
For skin as fresh and radiant as a Rose
The product comes in a tube with a pump dispenser. The size is not very big for the price so for those of you that uses a lot and need to apply for the whole face everyday, it may get really pricey for you. I don't smell any strong fragrance with this bb cream, maybe just a light scent. The texture is very soft and creamy, not thick at all. The bb cream is buildable but very sheer and light in general. If you are looking for a high coverage bb cream this one will not be the one you should be considering.
I only put a few drops of this around my eyes and on my nose and blend it in with my beauty blender. The result is very natural looking and doesn't seem like I have anything on my face at all, if you know what I mean. I do mix in a few dots of NARS creamy concealor around my eyes to cover my dark eye circles but that's about it.
I do find this bb cream hydrating, gives a glowing look, and covers really light scars just perfect. The down side of this bb cream is that there is no spf in it. However, since I use a separate sunscreen anyway this is fine with me. Also, I don't apply this to my whole face anyway so even if it had spf i'd still have to put sunscreen separately.
Overall I love this bb cream, I like the light texture and the sheerness it gives to help my makeup look natural, like I'm not using makeup.
This bb cream is available at all Christian Dior counters and Sephora in Toronto, I bought mine at Sephora. The retail price is $44CDN plus tax. One tube lasts me about 8 to 9 months at least, so it is not too expensive for me as I don't need to restock often. Hope you enjoy it too!
