Hello beauty fanatics, this is the first product I’m going to review on my blog. It is also the first step in my skincare routine: cleansing. I have tried a lot of cleansers in my lifetime and as my skin condition changes I have to find a new cleanser suitable for my skin at that time. For the longest time I stayed away from foam cleansers, because of bad experiences where it tightens my skin so much that I look so dehydrated and dry. I was on a mission to find a moisturizing cleanser and I came across this Etude House Wonder Pore Whipping Foaming Cleanser. (I will give reviews to the other products I’ve tried along the way in future posts).
Etude House is a brand under the Amore Pacific company which also include other well known brands such as Sulwhasoo, Hanyul, HERA, AmorePacific, Innisfree, etc. Their packaging is so cute that I couldn’t resist to take a look in detail on what this whipping foam is all about. The bottle contains 200ml of product and promises to be a 7 in 1 cleanser:
Balance your skin’s ideal ph level
Refine the skin tone
Keep the elasticity or pores
Deep cleanse pores
Minimize appearance of pores
Control a large amount of the sebum
Moisturize inside and outside of skin (I didn’t know you can moisturize the inside of your skin? Lol)
On the package, it also says this can be used as a daily face wash as well as a weekly face mask. This really seemed like wonder so far – and it is I promise!
I bought the gift pack which included the foam cleanser, a toner (will review later), and also a cleansing brush. The bottle is heavy, seems like there is a lot of product inside it. I usually shake the bottle first before pumping the foam out. When I first pump the foam out, I was surprised that it is not like any regular foam that I’ve used before. The foam is so thick like shaving cream! It is very dense and heavy (as in thick) that I feel like I’m about to shave my face or something after I put it on. There is a slight fragrance to it but its so light that I can’t even tell you what kind of smell it is.

So this is how I use it:
I wet my face first, then pump the foam onto my hand and then rub it on my face and keep rubbing on my face for about 15 seconds, then I will use the brush it came with and brush my face with it. After brushing for 30 seconds or so, I rinse.
The first thing I noticed after wiping my face dry is how plump and soft my skin felt. No tightness, no dryness! The foam is extremely mild and doesn’t sting your eyes if you got it in. I’m using it as my daily face wash, once in the morning, once in the evening after removing my makeup with a cleansing oil.
After putting on my other skincare products and applying makeup, I felt my skin so dewy and smooth, I can tell my pores do look smaller and my face looks moisturized and not dry at all. During the day my skin doesn’t get oily much if at all. I really fell in love with this cleanser, it will go in my regular routine as one of my must have items.
